AIDA1 Beginner's Course

The AIDA1 beginner's course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn freediving. During the course, you'll learn and try different types of freediving and cover the basics of safety procedures.

The course requirements include being at least 18 years old and having a 200-meter swimming ability. No prior diving experience is needed. The course provides you with an introduction to the fundamentals and skills of freediving. You'll have the opportunity to safely experience breath-holding, dynamic apnea, and deep diving.

The course progresses at each participant's own pace, prioritizing safety at all times. It consists of theory sessions, relaxation and pool exercises.

The course takes place at Sukellus Areena (Turuntie 690A, 02880 Veikkola), located in Veikkola, and features an eight-meter-deep pool.

The course consists of two theory sessions lasting 1.5 hours each and two pool sessions lasting 1.5 hours each. The schedule is as follows:

09:00 - 10:30: 1.5 hours of theory and dry training

10:30 - 12:00: 1.5 hours of pool training

12:00 - 13:00: Lunch break (bring your own meal)

13:00 - 14:30: 1.5 hours of theory and dry training

15:00 - 16:30: 1.5 hours of pool training

Please bring:

- Swimwear

- Towel

- Fins

- Mask

- Wetsuit

Wetsuits, masks, and fins can also be rented for the course at a cost of 30 EUR.

Cancellation policy:

Registration is binding.

You can cancel the course up to two weeks before its start without any costs.

If you cancel the course after this, you'll be required to pay a 70 EUR reservation fee.

One week before the course, you can cancel with a medical certificate.

To participate in the course, you must complete and sign a health declaration form and liability waiver.

Please carefully review the health declaration form before registering for the course to determine whether you need a medical certificate. Without the health declaration, you will not be able to participate in the course.
